sharpening and repair
Even the best blades need to be maintained....sharpened or possibly repaired. We offer expert sharpening services on most blades, steels and alloys. I sharpen using whetstones and decades of experience. Most often just the stones are needed for minor repair, however some repairs require the use of less gentle equipment (grinders, files, etc). When those sorts of things are required it is highly likely exceeding the standard sharpening charges.
Standard sharpening is straightforward and inexpensive, typically $4-$7 per blade. At times it is a bit more due to size or to due to minor chips or edge rolling. If a blade has any damage or needs more than regular service I will contact with a price and plan before starting.
